Members of the Concrete Floor Contractors Association are quality leaders who support the following code of ethics in concrete floor construction:

  • Members will strive to provide their employees with a safe and healthy workplace.
  • All specified methods and materials will be supplied without unapproved substitutions unless such substitutions are approved by the client.
  • All work will be performed to meet the requirements of Canadian Standard CSA A 23.1 “Concrete Materials and Methods of Concrete Construction”, as may be amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time.
  • All materials will be installed in accordance with materials manufacturer’s written instructions.
  • Steel fibres will be installed in accordance with the installation procedures of the Association and the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Individual initiative and innovation is encouraged while respecting the contractual rights and privileges of others.
  • Knowledge transfer relating to the concrete floor industry will be supported by the participation of Members in education events.
  • Members commit to the sharing of knowledge and best practices with other Members to help promote safety, quality and integrity in the concrete floor industry.

Membership in the CFCA is a privilege earned through a commitment to quality. Failure to observe these principles will be considered as grounds for membership suspension or termination.
