The CFCA is here to help !
Exposed concrete floor finishes are a large part of a sustainable future. The long term durablility of concrete and the many combinations of colours and textures provides new levels of expression for architects and their clients. Please review our Specifiers Guide to Interior Concrete Floors and our materials library along with our guides to polished concrete, coloured concrete and green floor solutions as well.
There are many exciting opportunities to specify a variety of architectural finishes for concrete floors and the CFCA is here to help. We welcome your questions and concerns either by e-mail or telephone (905-582-9825).
Prequalificiation wording
The specified pre-qualification of CFCA members promotes safety, quality and integrity in the concrete floor industry by supporting our continuing efforts on safety committees, technical standards, member education, member quality planning and mandatory ethics for contractors. Owners, Architects, Engineers, Specification Writers and Interior Designer’s may prequalify CFCA members using the following specification wording:
“Work under this section shall be performed by a member in good standing of the Concrete Floor Contractors Association (CFCA), and provide proof of such membership prior to commencing any of the work described in this section”.
Specifier’s wanting to eliminate divisions of responsibility in concrete floor construction may specify single-source responsibilities using the following specification wording:
“The concrete materials shall be supplied by the CFCA member performing the work in this section using single source responsibilities for the concrete floor construction. The CFCA member performing the work in this section shall provide a two year concrete floor warranty including the repair of drying shrinkage cracks”.
The CFCA is pleased to offer complimentary technical support to all specifiers. Please refer to our Technical Area and Materials Library for additional Concrete Floor information. Please feel free to call (905-582-9825) or e-mail if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.
